Bio

Leah Mangue (pronounced Mang) was raised in Santa Barbara, CA where she was constantly exposed to the Arts. That influence, coupled with a keen love for nature, color and animals, marked a definitive path which would lead to work as a full-time artist. Since the age of three she has drawn/painted with crayons, oils, acrylics, watercolors using just about anything (including a stick in the dirt or sand), has taken a turn at pottery and even tried her hand at sculpture. But none of those media captured her heart as much as colored pencils and there she landed.

Mangue's focus as an artist is fine art (specializing in realism), pet portraiture and a pop-culture/film/TV related subject matter, she works almost exclusively with colored pencil and art markers within small boundaries. Some of her most notable and recent projects include sketch cards for Topps (Star Wars 30th Anniversary , Lord of the Rings: Masterpieces), Breygent (Marilyn Monroe, Wizard of Oz, Movie Star Poster Collections series I and II), and Strictly Ink (CSI: Miami/CSI: NY).

Mangue lives and works in the warm and sunny climes of Palm Desert, CA, which is nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa mountain range.
