Bio

Kathryn Layno Lewis was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. Initially, her interests and talents were devoted to music at a very early age. Always fascinated with animation, comics and computer games, she eventually began drawing and painting. Her mother also took her to art museums and festivals which helped nurture her interests in visual art. During high school she joined a little indie comic group and had her first cover published at 14. In college she worked on many freelance jobs from murals, music videos, fashion shows to henna tattooing at parties and festivals. When she lived in Florida, she started doing private digital art commissions online which eventually got her a wider audience and a lot more experience.

Her style started out being very western cartoon influenced until she got into Japanese works and it took a more Manga turn. Her love for western comics and fantasy art also found it's way into her style giving it a hybrid look. Her strengths are pencils, coloring pencils and digital art. She's currently working on private commissions (digital and personalized sketchcards), pencils for comics, a webcomic project and charity sketches.
